The company was formed in 1987 by the director, Danny Adair, after nearly 6 years experience working in his fathers’ successful crane hire company, Glenrelle Cranes, and currently has an excellent reputation in the construction industry for reliability, service and safety.
The family run company has evolved over the last 20 odd years from a fleet consisting of one 10 tonne crane, to a fleet of cranes ranging from City Cranes, Franna Cranes, Truck Cranes and All Terrain Cranes up to 130 tonne and now including Crawler Cranes.
The company has competent, licensed operators and experienced dogmen who are well known amongst reputable companies, large and small, for their expertise in their field. They work closely with site supervisors to ensure that the
role we play during construction is carried out in the most efficient and cost effective manner to our customers. It is our combined goal to provide an efficient personalized service, with an emphasis on attention to detail, and most of all, safety.
Responsible personnel carry out our maintenance and service programs on a regular basis. We follow this program to ensure that we give you the very best in machine reliability with near to zero downtime. We give you this information because it is important to us for you to understand our commitment, both to the industry and our customers’ confidence
in our ability to provide experienced personnel and well maintained, modern machinery.
Our scope of works and expertise ranges from shutdowns, highway maintenance and construction, railway maintenance, commercial and domestic developments, civil works and works for Department of Commerce.
We hold full plant and public liability insurance and have a current EBA with the CFMEU. All personnel comply with Work Cover requirements, and our company is continually updating and revising our OHS&E Management Plan to reflect the ever changing industry. All cranes are Crane Safe certified.

Managing Director – Danny Adair
Danny has over 26 years experience in the mobile crane hire industry, starting as a dogman for Glenrelle Cranes. During this 6 year period, he gained a variety of skills, qualifications and experience in the industry. In 1987, he formed his own company and continues to expand the fleet of D J Adair Crane Services, currently operating 11 cranes.
Danny holds an open/unrestricted crane operators ticket, elevated work platform, boom lift over 11m, dogger class 2, fork lift ticket and is Track Safety Awareness & CAPS/5099 certified. Danny has found over the years that remaining as an operator on the cranes is the best way to maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction. It enables him to obtain a first hand, candid view of how the company’s performance is perceived.
Operations Manager – Mick Sinderberry
Mick has been employed in the mobile crane hire industry for over 20 years. During this time his skill and experience has ranged from Dogging to Leading Hand, Sales Supervisor and Operations Manager. Mick spent a number of years with Kanabrook Cranes and has been employed by us as Operations Manager since 2002. Mick is able to assist you with all aspects of your crane hire, from booking the crane to assisting you assess and plan your project.
Sales Supervisor – Brian Young
Brian has over 30 years experience in the mobile crane hire industry. His first association with Danny was at Glenrelle Cranes over 25 years ago. Brian began at Glenrelle as a crane operator, adopting a supervisory role in 1987. He played a key role in the expansion of Glenrelle Cranes to a fleet of over 20 cranes, gaining him a high standard of knowledge and respect within the industry. Brian’s role is to establish and maintain our high level of customer satisfaction and assist in inspecting and planning your works.
